About the role

As a Civil Designer at Amey, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality design and documentation for large-scale land development projects. You’ll be involved in the design of residential lots, sub-arterial roads, water and sewage systems, and utility infrastructure. Working closely with a Senior Designer and mentoring a Drafter, you’ll contribute to multi-stage master-planned communities across Queensland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least one year of experience, or nearing completion of their degree, who’s eager to grow in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibility

  • Complete design and drafting work for delegated projects.
  • Prepare detailed calculations, plans, and documentation for submission to local and state authorities.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems for drawings, reports, and documents.
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, and government bodies to ensure project compliance and delivery.
  • Supervise and support Cadet Designers and Drafters within the design team.
  • Ensure all work aligns with Premise’s values, policies, and quality standards.

Required experience

  • Land development experience in Queensland is
  • 1+ years of industry experience or nearing completion of a Civil Engineering degree.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, 12d Model, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
