Title:  On-Site Plumber

£30,866 – £36,135 + 15% weekend allowance
39 hours per week | Permanent

Looking for a steady, long‑term plumbing role with regular hours, good pay and no travelling between sites? This is a permanent on‑site plumber role at HMP Full Sutton, working as part of a close‑knit facilities team.

The role

You’ll be carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across the prison site, including:

• General plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Mains water supply repairs
• Fault finding and fixing issues first time
• Inspections, water sampling and basic risk assessments
• Identifying and replacing life‑expired equipment

This is a hands‑on trade role, not desk‑based, and you’ll have the time and support to do the job properly.

Working hours

• 39 hours per week
• Rota between:
  • 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday
  • 08:00 – 16:00 Friday to Sunday
• 1 in 3 weekends, paid with an additional 15% allowance

What you’ll need

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating
• Experience in plumbing maintenance (commercial environment preferred)
• Full UK driving licence
• Legionella awareness (desirable, not essential)
• Able to work safely and follow procedures in a secure environment
