Salary: £27,426 + 15% weekend allowance
Hours: 39 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 08:00–17:00 Saturday–Thursday | 08:00–16:00 Friday
Weekend Working: 1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis

What You'll Do

  • Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning, planting and general grounds maintenance.
  • Maintain sports pitches, recreational areas and landscaped spaces.
  • Operate grounds maintenance machinery, power tools and light plant equipment.
  • Complete weed control, drainage and seasonal clearance works.
  • Paint and maintain outdoor equipment and site assets.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping or horticulture.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Comfortable working in a prison environment alongside prisoners.
  • Experience operating grounds maintenance machinery and equipment.
  • Weed spraying certification and chainsaw qualifications would be advantageous.

Prison security clearance, a Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) and standard DBS will be required. Amey will support you through the process.
