Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial team on a permanent contract. This is a remote role that will require occasional travel.
This is a full-time role, with standard working hours of 37.5 hours per week.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be accountable for implementing strategy compliant with the Amey Freedom to Perform approach, governance, and legislation to ensure the recovery of contractual entitlement.
The senior quantity surveyor will be responsible for some line management responsibilities and developing client relationships un support of successful account delivery, aiding change management and promoting amey in retaining/winning work.
What you will do:
- Developing excellent client relationships in support of success delivery
- Implementing and driving consistency of commercial processes both pre and post contract
- Implementing commercial best practice to maximise value and minimise risk
- Working alongside finance to ensure cost control of projects – monitoring budgets, forecasts, CVRs
- Manage change process and review all proposed changes
- Ensuring all application for payments are paid on time and inline with contracts
- Supporting wider bidding/estimating teams with strategic bids
- Providing commercial support and expertise where required to implement commercial strategy
- People management duties
What you will bring:
- A quantity surveying degree or similar is desirable
- Strong commercial and finance acumen
- Sound knowledge of standard forms of contract
- Industry awareness
- Ability to build excellent client relationships
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to use Excel and other Microsoft applications confidently
- People management experience
- Experience in commercial and finance budgeting and reporting
