Title:  Project Manager

Requisition ID:  11038

We’re looking for a 6-month FTC Construction Project Manager to support works at Dungeness, maintaining our Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) contract. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while being embedded on a single site.

Amey delivers essential workplace and facilities management services across 17 nuclear sites and regional offices nationwide, supporting the safe decommissioning of the UK’s first‑generation nuclear sites. This is highly regulated, purposeful work that plays a vital role in protecting people and the environment, while offering long‑term career security within a growing and nationally important sector.

The focus is heavily pre‑construction and planning driven, making this ideal for a Project Manager with strong attention to detail and experience working within safety‑critical environments. You’ll be a key part of onsite delivery, working closely with operational, engineering, and safety teams to ensure projects are planned and executed safely and compliantly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing pre‑construction activity including planning, estimating, and mobilisation
  • Coordinating works within strict nuclear safety and compliance standards
  • Liaising with specialist subcontractors and site stakeholders
  • Supporting projects ranging from £20k–£200k in value
  • Ensuring compliance with nuclear, safety, and regulatory requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering construction projects in regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of safety‑critical working practices
  • Experience in nuclear, defence, energy, or other regulated sectors (preferred)
  • SMSTS, CSCS (essential); IOSH or PM qualifications (desirable)
  • Site‑focused, organised, and detail‑oriented approach

We welcome applications from a diverse range of candidates.

If you have most but not all these skills and experiences, we encourage you to apply, as we may be able to offer development or training to support you.

Triple Bar training (a short online introductory nuclear course) is required prior to site access and will be completed as part of onboarding.
