39 hours per week (Mon–Thu 08:00–17:00, Fri finish 15:00)

The Role

  • Carry out planned and reactive painting and decorating across the prison

  • Maintain tools, materials and equipment

  • Work safely in line with H&S procedures

  • Support prisoners through painting/decorating tasks (CRED programme – extra pay available)

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Good understanding of H&S and safe working practices

  • Comfortable working in a secure environment alongside, and supervising, prisoners

  • Team player who shares knowledge and best practice
