Title: Project Manager
We’re recruiting for two 6-month FTC Construction Project Manager’s to support a growing portfolio of projects across the MOJ Projects Framework.
Working on Ministry of Justice projects means being part of one of the UK’s largest and most significant public‑sector estates. Our teams support the maintenance, improvement and modernisation of secure facilities across England and Wales — delivering technically varied work, long‑term job stability, and projects that genuinely impact communities. From complex live environments to refurbishment and sustainability upgrades, this is an opportunity to work on meaningful projects with real purpose.
While the ideal base for this role is in the Sheffield area – flexibility is available for the right candidate. This role offers exposure to a varied programme of works at different stages—from mobilisation and pre‑construction through to live delivery and close‑out.
With most activity currently front‑end focused, this is a great opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys shaping projects early, working closely with clients, and influencing successful delivery outcomes.
What you will do:
- Working closely with MOJ clients to develop project briefs and early solutions
- Leading pre‑construction activity including site surveys, risk identification, estimating, and programme development
- Managing subcontractor and supplier engagement, quotes, and mobilisation planning
- Overseeing projects through delivery where required, ensuring time, cost, quality, and safety expectations are met
- Collaborating with commercial, engineering, HSEQ, and operational teams to ensure compliant delivery
What you will bring:
- Proven experience delivering construction projects from pre‑construction through to completion
- Strong stakeholder management, planning, and commercial awareness
- SMSTS and appropriate CSCS card (essential)
- Experience working within frameworks or regulated environments (desirable)
- Comfortable travelling between sites across the region
We welcome applications from a diverse range of candidates.
If you have most but not all these skills and experiences, we encourage you to apply, as we may be able to offer development or training to support you.
Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).
