No bidding experience is required – we’ll induct, train and develop you in all the necessary skills to launch a successful career in bidding.
What you will do:
- Work under the guidance of our Bid Managers, Proposals Managers and other Bid Writers to produce high-quality, consistent, and persuasive bid responses.
- Provide structural, written and editorial support to bid teams, interviewing and helping subject matter experts to produce compliant yet engaging technical content that hits the mark for the evaluator.
- Access Amey-wide knowledge and best practice, and use our in-house AI tools and capabilities, to support rapid content generation, differentiate our bids and ensure ‘we win as one’.
- Draft content from scratch, and edit and proofread material produced by others, to promote ‘Plain English’ - conveying complex information and technical solutions clearly and succinctly.
- ‘Wordsmith’ bid responses, award submissions and CVs to make them more compelling and improve readability, consistency, and accuracy.
- Analyse client requirements including compliance and evaluation criteria to help maximise scores across all responses.
- Input to ‘answer planning/storyboarding’ workshops to help structure our responses so they are easy to evaluate and shape compelling content.
- Support development of ‘value propositions’ and ‘win themes’ aligned to the client’s ‘hot buttons’ and ensure these are articulated effectively across responses.
What you will bring:
- A degree in English, History, Creative Writing, Journalism or similar Arts-based subject.
- A passion for writing and pedantry, with a keen eye for detail.
- A creative, analytical and naturally inquisitive approach – with a thirst for knowledge.
