Your New Role

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for Quantity Surveyor to join to join the team on a permanent basis, supporting our National Highways and Group Property accounts within Complex Facilities. This is a remote role that will require travel to offices across England.

You will be part of a larger team within the Complex Facilities Business Unit at Amey. To succeed you will have experience in Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying / Procurement. A high level of experience of FM and Construction contracts is essential

 

The standard hours of work are based on 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of the sub-contract supply chain vision and strategy for the Secure Infrastructure division
  • Developing sub-contractor engagement strategies and align our supply chain in support of our customer needs and aspirations
  • Supporting tender processes and strategy for core FM services and Projects as required
  • Drafting subcontract documentation and managing the vendor set up process
  • The successful procurement of contractors to deliver FM services and project works
  • Contributing to and delivering allocated aspects of the annual supply chain business plan driving through cost and value benefits
  • Owning allocated Amey supplier relationships at a strategic level, enabling leverage to be used when required to meet specific business requirements
  • Working closely with Finance in supporting monthly CVRs
  • Ensuring operational teams are fulfilling contract obligations
  • Managing the client and vendor application for payment process
  • Preparing management and performance reports

 

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying / Procurement experience/qualifications
  • Experience of Total FM or Built Environment construction
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Substantial experience in Commercial and Sub-contractor Management.
  • A professional qualification is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills are essential, and the role will require strong skills in managing a range of stakeholder relationships
  • Innovative thinking and high levels of self motivation are desirable
