Title: Project Manager - Highways
We are looking for a Project Manager who is ready to lead the delivery of cutting-edge EV projects, build strong client relationships and champion safe, efficient and sustainable working practices. This is a hybrid role based in Manchester, we welcome applications from Project Managers from across the UK. The role includes a requirement to be onsite regularly based on project requirements with occasional wider travel across the UK.

This position offers a competitive salary and standard weekly hours of 37.5.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage the delivery of EV charging infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet quality, time and budget requirements.
- Foster strong relationships with Clients, Suppliers and internal teams to deliver projects efficiently and safely.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling and resource allocation to optimise delivery.
- Support procurement and subcontractor management to maintain project momentum and quality.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery processes.
- Champion Amey’s Zero Code safety culture and sustainability goals throughout project phases.
- Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities for growth and supporting bid activity.

What You’ll Bring:
- Experience managing infrastructure, utilities, highways, highways electrical, street lighting or EV-related projects.
- Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills.
- Ability to build lasting relationships with clients, stakeholders and teams.
- Commercial awareness with a solid understanding of budget management and contract compliance.
- A problem-solving and continuous improvement approach to maintain project integrity.
- Project Management qualifications (APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent) are desirable.
