We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Fixed-term (Maternity cover) Community and Communications Manager to join our dynamic Trafford team at our Trafford Depot in Manchester, (M23 9LF). This role will be carried out onsite.

 

This position offers a competitive salary and overtime.

 

In this role, you'll support the Trafford Account by actively engaging with the local community to identify and implement community engagement initiatives and keep the community updated on the account’s delivery. Deliver communications and marketing strategies and plans which enhance opportunities and delivery.

Your contribution is crucial, as you will serve as the bridge between the community and our team, ensuring that the needs and concerns of local residents are heard and addressed. By fostering strong relationships and maintaining open lines of communication, you will help to build trust and collaboration, ultimately contributing to the success of the Trafford account. Your efforts will not only enhance customer satisfaction but also promote a positive image of our services within the community.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Support new business development: Assist in business growth initiatives, manage employee communications, and enhance external promotions to attract new opportunities.
  • Deliver comprehensive Marketing and Communications strategies: Develop and implement marketing communications plans tailored to commercial services to ensure effective outreach and engagement with target audiences.
  • Design and analyse employee communications: Create and evaluate communication content to ensure it resonates with employees and addresses their needs and feedback.
  • Coordinate all external communications: Manage media features, press duties, and other external communication channels to maintain a positive public image and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Produce annual communications plans: Collaborate with the Occupational Safety Advisor to create and deliver annual communications plans for safety and operational projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee community engagement initiatives: Plan and execute community engagement programs, including community days and charitable events, to support work winning efforts and strengthen relationships with existing clients.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Comms qualification – degree or similar professional qualification (desirable)
  • Some comms or marketing experience
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
