Senior Recruiter – Complex Facilities

Salary: circa £40,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid (Liverpool office 1 day per week + UK travel)

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday

Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Recruiter to join our Complex Facilities team at Amey. This is a high-impact role supporting key contracts across the Justice and Energy sectors (MOJ & NRS)—giving you real influence on how we attract and deliver talent into secure, complex environments.

You’ll join a high-performing, collaborative team delivering 100+ hires per month, where your expertise will directly shape workforce strategies and drive operational success across the UK.

You will be responsible for recruiting a mix of high volume and technical talent across the UK from frontline operatives, electricians, plumbers, facilities management professionals. project managers and office-based staff.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle, from brief through to offer and onboarding
  • Deliver a mix of high-volume operational hiring and technical/specialist recruitment
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for hard-to-fill roles
  • Lead targeted recruitment campaigns, including sourcing strategies, advertising, and events
  • Partner with hiring managers to challenge thinking, shape demand plans, and improve outcomes
  • Use data and insight (e.g. time-to-hire, pipeline health, diversity metrics) to drive continuous improvement
  • Reduce agency dependency through direct sourcing, referrals, and market engagement
  • Stay informed on labour market trends across infrastructure, FM, and engineering

What you’ll bring

  • Experience recruiting facilities management or operational talent (Justice, Defence, or similar environments advantageous)
  • Proven track record of direct sourcing and headhunting
  • Ability to manage high-volume recruitment alongside specialist hiring
  • Confidence working in fast-paced, operational environments (FM, logistics, engineering, manufacturing)
  • Strong understanding of recruitment metrics and delivering against KPIs
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and deliver at pace
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset

Desirable (not essential)

  • CIPD Level 5
  • Experience within secure, government, or nuclear environments
