As a Bridges and Civil Structures Graduate, you will;
- Be part of an experienced structures team, working on interesting and challenging projects across Scotland, the UK and internationally.
- Assist with development of practical, sustainable solutions for bridges and civil structures at all stages; from investigation to optioneering, feasibility, concept and detailed design, construction supervision and asset management.
- Undertake structural analysis, design and assessment calculations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our world-class data, analytics and digital technology solutions.
- Develop carbon and cost estimates, 3D models, drawings and technical documents.
The Graduate Programme
Our Graduate Programme is designed to cultivate a cohort of future-focused, high-performing consultants, engineers, and leaders. Throughout the two-year programme, you will receive technical and personal development support to acquire essential consultancy skills and become a professionally qualified engineer . You’ll gain hands-on experience and collaborate with industry experts who value your unique perspectives. A 'buddy' and a mentor will be assigned to help you settle into your role and develop the necessary skills and knowledge.

Our Graduate Programme is designed to be rewarding; nurturing your professional development and personal growth. On successful completion, you’ll progress to an Assistant Engineer role, launching your career in just 2 years.
What We Need From You
Minimum requirements:
- MSc / MEng / PhD in Civil or Structural Engineering (minimum 2:1)
- Enjoy working in a team environment, sharing ideas, and collaborating with colleagues.
- Confidence to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
- An interest in bridge engineering and commitment to sustainable development.
