Amey is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of rail projects within Ireland’s growing rail sector.

 

Location: Dublin (Freight Building, D01)
Contract: Permeant – hybrid
Hours: 37.5

Following the successful award of multiple major rail and transport infrastructure contracts, we are looking for an experienced project manager to join our growing team within the rail sector.

 

This is a unique opportunity to join Amey at an early stage of our Ireland journey, helping to shape how we deliver, grow capability locally, and establish trusted partnerships with key Irish clients and stakeholders. You’ll manage framework projects end‑to‑end, from early involvement and work‑winning support through to delivery, coordinating matrix teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and technically.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Delivering projects safely, compliantly and in line with agreed scope, programme and cost
  • Managing day‑to‑day project delivery activities, including planning, scheduling and coordination of engineering and site teams
  • Acting as the focal point between technical specialists, construction teams and wider project stakeholders
  • Applying project management discipline to engineering‑led delivery, ensuring risks, interfaces and dependencies are controlled
  • Supporting the management of contractors and suppliers working within signalling, electrification or telecoms disciplines
  • Ensuring project activities are delivered in accordance with rail safety, quality and assurance requirements
  • Providing clear progress reporting, issue management and practical solutions to delivery challenges
  • Supporting work‑winning, early contractor involvement and project mobilisation where required

What You’ll Bring:

 

  • Background in rail systems engineering (either Signalling, Electrification and Power, Telecoms or closely related disciplines/sectors)
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects in a safety‑critical or regulated rail environment
  • Sound understanding of how rail engineering interfaces, possessions, testing and commissioning impact delivery
  • Project management qualification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple technical activities concurrently
