Title: Programme Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager support Amey’s expanding Rail portfolio in Ireland. This role will play a key part in leading the safe, compliant and effective delivery of rail systems programmes, while also supporting business growth across the Irish market.

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
In this role, you will provide programme leadership, governance oversight and technical direction across Signalling, Electrification and Telecoms rail projects in Ireland in both light and heavy rail. Working closely with senior leaders, clients and assurance bodies, you will help shape delivery approaches, manage risk and ensure programmes are executed in line with regulatory, safety and assurance requirements.
You will take a leading role in establishing robust programme and governance arrangements, supporting effective decision‑making and ensuring projects are delivered in a controlled, compliant and proportionate way within a safety‑critical rail environment.
What you’ll do
- Lead the delivery of recently secured projects for multiple clients across the full project lifecycle, from design through to commissioning and handover
- Provide programme‑level leadership across technical, safety, governance and assurance interfaces within a safety‑critical rail environment
- Ensure compliance with rail safety, regulatory and assurance requirements relevant to the Irish rail network
- Manage programme performance across cost, schedule, risk and quality, ensuring effective control and decision‑making
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, infrastructure managers, regulators and assurance bodies
- Review and approve key engineering deliverables, methodologies, RAMS and designs
- Support work winning and future opportunities by applying programme and technical expertise to shape early solutions and build client confidence across Amey’s rail portfolio in Ireland
- Provide clear advice to senior stakeholders on programme risk, resourcing and delivery strategy
- Lead the national programme of work from our office in Dublin.

What you’ll bring
- A clear ambition to play a leading role in building and scaling a business in a new market, underpinned by adaptability and a strong growth-oriented mindset.
- Strong experience delivering rail systems programmes within safety‑critical environments, with exposure to Signalling, Electrification and Telecoms disciplines
- Proven senior project or programme leadership on complex, multi‑disciplinary rail projects
- Solid understanding of rail safety, governance and assurance requirements
- Confident, senior‑level stakeholder and client engagement experience
- Ability to support work winning and future opportunities through programme and technical input
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering or a related discipline, with relevant professional accreditation or working towards one
