  • Develop rail-specific bid strategies in partnership with Business Stream or Account Directors, ensuring that win plans are in place for all significant rail infrastructure opportunities.
  • Manage the progress of rail bids, making sure activities align with the overall bid programme and that objectives are clearly communicated to all stakeholders involved in rail projects.
  • Guide the production of high-quality technical and commercial bid documentation for rail projects, ensuring all submissions reflect agreed rail strategies and industry standards.
  • Facilitate the creation of operational solutions and commercial strategies designed to drive continuous improvement and competitiveness across rail bids.
  • Implement and manage robust protocols for communication and document management throughout the entire rail bid process.
  • Maintain proactive communications with rail clients and respond promptly to any rail bid clarifications or queries.
  • Prepare internal approval papers and manage the bid budget for rail submissions, including conducting risk and opportunity assessments specific to rail projects.
  • Keep rail bid tools and databases updated, contributing to reports that track the performance and outcomes of rail bids as required.
  • Oversee business-led (minor) rail bids to ensure strict adherence to governance and established processes within the rail sector.
  • Conduct thorough document reviews for rail bids, consolidate stakeholder feedback, and implement continuous improvements to enhance the quality of future rail submissions.
  • Support and mentor other Bid Managers and Leads in the rail team, including facilitating rail-focused bid workshops and delivering training for operational and work-winning staff involved in rail projects.
