The Opportunity

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Account Manager to set up our Consulting ROI team. With shared office space in Dublin, we welcome applications from Account Manager across Ireland.

 

The role

 

As our business expands, we are seeking to recruit a Account Manager to manage our Dublin Office. You will be accountable for successfully securing and delivering a programme of projects to meet our Client’s needs. Reporting to the Associate Director, you will provide strategic leadership to and teams working within your business area

 

  • Integrate safety within everything we do
  • Develop and maintain specific client relationship(s), with regular reviews of project performance, and active management of issues
  • Inspire team to delight the client
  • Accountable for the performance of the P&L across the Programme
  • Identify and own key opportunities within the Programme and make resources available to secure work against these
  • Set direction and targets for Programme and communicate these effectively to all team members
  • Communicate market intelligence and suspects/opportunities identified as a result of this to the Business Development team
  • Keep Associate Director informed of Programme performance at an appropriate level
  • Agreeing and owning budgetary targets for turnover and margin within the Programme and reporting progress monthly against these
  • Work with the Business Development team to identify opportunities and provide appropriate resources to convert these into secured orders
  • Establish desirable and required attributes of the Programme and ‘what matters most for each of the stakeholders
  • Segregate the Programme into manageable Projects and agree on the appointment of appropriate and competent Discipline Leads and Project Managers
  • Regularly review the resource and project plans with the Project Directors across the Programme to identify and/or pre-empt resourcing conflicts.
  • Present performance of the Programme at monthly finance review meetings with the Business Director, explaining any variances and providing amended forecast figures where necessary
  • Delivery of, or exceeding project commercial and financial performance targets through rigorous management of costs, billing and change control, and driving commercial best practice
  • Recognise when issues need to be escalated to the client and stakeholders and when compromises have to be made within the programme
  • Assure that the Programme is being managed to achieve the 3 project drivers – cost, time and quality – to the complete satisfaction of the client

 

What you will bring to us:

 

  • Excellent Client Relationship Management skills
  • Excellent communicator and motivator of people
  • Successful delivery of large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects with experience in either Engineering or Project Management within a consultancy environment
  • A broad experience in both design and construction environments
  • Chartered Programme Management/Leadership/Engineer or equivalent professional qualification
  • Prince 2/APM accredited (or equivalent)
  • Computer literate and thoroughly conversant with MS Office suite and project management software (i.e. MS Project, Primavera)
  • Risk and/or Value Management training
  • Understand SAP, and its use to set up projects, periodic reporting processes (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in managing the integration of a Programme of work
  • Commercially astute, with a good working knowledge of contracts
  • Experience in managing P&L
  • Previous sector experience and knowledge of sector standards
  • Environmental awareness
