Title: Section Engineer - Avenmouth Bridge
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Section Engineer to join our Special Bridge Inspection and Maintenance (SBIM) team working on the Avonmouth Bridge.
Working in partnership with National Highways, Amey delivers inspection, maintenance and renewal works to ensure infrastructure is safe, compliant and efficient.
The Avonmouth Bridge is a key asset within the network, requiring effective engineering coordination, inspection and maintenance delivery.
The Section Engineer will support the safe and efficient delivery of works, ensuring compliance with standards, programme and quality requirements.
What You’ll Do:
• Support delivery of maintenance, renewals and capital schemes
• Take responsibility for specific work packages and sections
• Carry out site inspections, surveys and defect verification
• Support planning and coordination of access and traffic management
• Provide engineering support during construction activities
• Support development and review of RAMS and permits
• Implement quality assurance processes and inspections
• Coordinate subcontractors and specialist activities
• Maintain accurate records and asset data
• Monitor delivery against programme and KPIs
• Support communication with stakeholders and the Client
• Promote safe working and continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring:
Qualifications
• HNC/HND/BEng (or equivalent experience)
• CSCS card
• Professional membership (desirable)

• Ability to interpret technical and engineering information
• Strong planning and coordination ability
