Your New Role

 

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Administrator to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account in HMP Berwyn, this role is based on-site.

 

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. 

 

By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.

 

Administrator plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.

 

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
  • Share information to ensure HMPS needs are met. Work with HMPS on site vetting team to aid in the onboarding of new starters.
  • Assist with the delivery of services to the client using a case management system.
  • Process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Receives and disseminates information to other team members to ensure service delivery.
  • Input to and maintain spreadsheets/databases/systems and produce and collate reports.
  • Raise purchase orders and arrange payment of invoices.
  • Support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
  • Take direction from Site Manager and wider team members.
  • Handle all other reasonable requests as determined by your line manager.

What makes this role unique is you will provide administrative support to the Site Manager and Team Leaders at the site, ensuring they have complete visibility of requirements and compliance needs. Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).

 

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Excellent ability to manage timekeeping and prioritise workload.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to develop and maintain good working relationships.
  • Experience/use of Microsoft packages/IT literate.
  • Familiar with/exposure to management systems or other similar data entry and reporting database applications.

 

Ideally you will be qualified in Business Administration with experience of working in a generalist administration/business support role.

 

In addition to this, it would be desirable if you have strong IT skills and experience working with Microsoft Office package to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
