Title: Document Services Team Leader
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Document Services Team Leader to join one of Amey’s most successful and high-profile contracts, delivering secure document services to a major UK Central Government department in Whitehall, London.
The salary is £35,000.00 + DV allowance
HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 Per Week. You will be required to work rotating weekly shifts of 8am-4pm & 10am-6pm Mon-Fri
Join our vibrant, inclusive community within Amey Complex Facilities, working in the Document Services department, Ministry of Defence, Main Building. The department provides a vital role in producing materials to assist UK Defence in its strategic operations at home and abroad.
Working closely with the department as Team Leader to ensure all work is completed to customer satisfaction and Take responsibility for prioritising workflows and day-to-day print room activities. Monitor device performance and maintain maintenance records
What you will do:
- Ensure sufficient stock levels and order consumables as and when necessary
- Work closely with Document Services Supervisor and provide team performance updates
- To cover for the Document Services Supervisor when required
- Produce high quality print outputs using high speed digital printers adhering to client specifications
- Work with object printer and engraver
- Manage wide format print tasks utilising automated cutting devices and software
- Provide reprographic finishing such as laminating, book binding, folding and padding
- Scan client hardcopies and save in desired formats
- Understand print room workflow processes and procedures
- Provide intermediate printer maintenance and calibrate machines daily
- Always adhere to robust company H&S procedures
- Liaise with subcontractors & suppliers to report device faults and request onsite assistance
- Manage engineer attendance and book building visitors
What you will bring:
- Experience in a similar role is essential and history of working with secure documents
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience of working in a digital print and finishing environment
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting
- Understanding of Fiery and Onyx RIP workflow software
