We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Signage Maintenance Operative to join our team in Sheffield. This role is based on site at Olive Grove Depot, Olive Grove Road, Sheffield, S2 3GE.
This position offers a competitive salary and overtime.
The weekly hours are 40/week
The role of a Sign Maintenance Operative is crucial for ensuring the safety and efficiency of public spaces. By maintaining and improving road surfaces, footways, and signage, you directly contribute to the community's everyday convenience and overall safety. Your work ensures that public infrastructure is kept in excellent condition, preventing accidents and enhancing residents' quality of life.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct inspections and maintenance of road signage to ensure they are clear and functional.
- Repair or replace any damaged or worn-out signs promptly.
- Perform regular checks and audits of signage to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Install new signs, ensuring they are properly placed and visible.
- Collaborate with team members to improve the layout and efficiency of signage.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and report any issues immediately.
- Safely and effectively use hand and power tools as required.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with health and safety standards.
