We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Masonry Highways Maintenance Operative to join our team in Sheffield. This role is based on site at Olive Grove Depot, Olive Grove Road, Sheffield, S2 3GE.
This position offers a competitive salary and overtime.
In this role, you will support the Sheffield account as a Masonry Highways Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the masonry structures on the highways, including pavements, kerbs, and bridges, ensuring they are safe and functional for public use. This role is crucial for the Sheffield account as it directly impacts the safety and accessibility of the city's infrastructure. Your expertise will help prevent accidents, reduce long-term repair costs, and enhance the overall aesthetic of the community. By maintaining well-kept highways, you contribute to a safer, cleaner, and more welcoming environment for all residents and visitors.
What You’ll Do:
- Performing masonry work including the installation and repair of kerbs and flags/blocked paving
- Engaging in concreting tasks, ensuring a high standard of finish
- Carrying out tarmacking works to maintain and improve road surface/footways
- Ensuring all work is completed to safety and quality standards
- Collaborating with team members to deliver effective maintenance solutions

What You’ll Bring:
- Valid UK driving licence is required. (7.5 tonne desirable)
- Proven experience in highways maintenance and masonry work
- Proficiency in kerbing flagging, concreting, and tarmacking/paving/box/ironwork lifting
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
