Your New Role

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Communications Manager to join our Complex Facilities – Justice team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a remote role that will require regular travel across England.

 

The purpose of the role is to help define and implement a strategy that will support stakeholder engagement plans and help build the Amey brand in the eye of the client and wider justice sector.

You will provide communications support for market specific work winning opportunities (both organic and strategic) and will create a schedule of activity to ensure the work we are delivering across the prison’s estate is seen to align with the wider objectives of the client and the Amey Corporate narrative.

 

You will also be an integral part of the Justice team and will act as advisor to the Business Director.

 

The standard hours of work are based on 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering marketing communications activities and projects in line with the justice strategy
  • Aligning communications plans to support effective stakeholder engagement and relationship building
  • Producing written materials (e.g. collateral, press releases, award entries, case studies, internal news items, social media entries etc.) as required
  • Working with the wider comms team to deliver marketing, event and networking activities.
  • Producing content for various channels including the internal and external website, social media and collateral (videos, vlogs, infographics etc.) as required
  • Working closely with operational teams to understand localised requirements and recommend interventions / activities to address their challenges
  • Liaising with the work winning team to support strategic Business Development and Bidding activity
  • Working with marketing officer to monitor and report on communications activity

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Significant proven relevant experience in external communications
  • First class writing skills with the ability to draft content for stakeholders
  • Experience of working in agency or in-house marketing / communications team
  • Proven ability to lead projects from concept to completion
  • Ideally, you will have industry experience in justice, defence, public sector or construction
  • Resilient with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Excellent presentation skills
