Your new role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Catering Assistant to join our Northampton account at Northampton School for Girls,  Spinney Hill Road, Spinney Hill, Northampton NN3 6DG - This role is on-site based.

 

The salary is £12.00 per hour

 

Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Northampton Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 42 schools (five secondary and 37 primary).

Every day our people help create high-quality learning environments - ensuring they are safe, clean and compliant for teachers to inspire and where students can gain meaningful skills and qualifications.

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.

Catering Assistant - This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to your local community by working in a lively local school, preparing and providing school meals.

 

The standard hours of work are 26.25 Hours Per Week - 9:00am - 2:45pm with 30 minute unpaid break Monday - Friday.

You will be responsible for:

  • Basic preparation of food and drinks Preparation of vegetables and snacks
  • Simple cooking of food (including the heating and/or reconstitution of convenience foods and vegetables)
  • Transportation and serving of meals (including the packing and unpacking of food into containers)
  • Washing up and clearing away equipment
  • Cash handling
  • Cleaning of the kitchen, its surrounds and the equipment
