Title: Resource Manager
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Resource Manager to join our dynamic CEFA team at Newport. Hybrid working 37 per.5 hrs week.
In this role, you will support the CEFA Operations Team in the efficient and effective and cost-effective provision of examination delivery resource and technical report compliance to ensure the successful delivery of the CEFA project. To undertake People Manager duties, to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of team members
This role offers you the unique opportunity to join the main structural examination provider for Network Rail in Scotland.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Regional Manager and Programme Manager with the creation, development and enhancement of the baseline programme through the Planning Robustness process, providing accurate forecasts for resource capacity and needs in line with programme requirements.
- Support the implementation of site audits, inspections and trials as appropriate.
- Ensure that all reports are submitted to satisfy the requirements of the Contract KPI’s.
- Undertake a people manager role, ensuring that the Examiners are highly engaged and receive the necessary support and development.
- Ensure that safety is always the priority, promote safe working practices, and ensure full implementation and compliance with Key Processes.

What You’ll Bring:
- Proven rail industry experience in a Programme management, safety critical or operational related role
- Knowledge of rail structures and examinations – Bridges, retaining walls, OPI, Culverts etc.
- Experience of managing individuals and small/medium sized work teams
- ONC/BTech in Civil Engineering or Building (additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu on an individual basis)
- PTS
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Computer literate with a full working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly excel
