Your New Role

We have a fantastic opportunity as a permanent Quantity Surveyor to join our Trafford account in Manchester. This role will be based on site at Tatton House, 11 Caldey Road, Roundthorn Industrial Estate, Wythenshawe, Manchester, M23 9LF. It is a hybrid role (office and home-based) 

 

Amey and Trafford Council are working together to deliver commercial and domestic waste collections, street cleaning, grounds maintenance, highways services, bridges, road safety, street lighting and furniture, drainage, and property services. Working through locally based teams, we support communities by helping to create better safer and more pleasant places. 

 

As a Quantity Surveyor you will play a leading role in the project team and manage and/or carry out if required all normal quantity surveying duties to ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlements. Play a key role in the development of collaborative client relationships in support of successful account delivery, aiding change and conflict management, and promoting Amey in retaining/winning future works. Providing support to both Supply Chain procurement and Work Winning activities

 

The standard hours of work are 37.5hrs a week (Monday-Friday 9-5)

 

Salary is competitive and dependant on experience.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Promote Amey's "Zero Harm" Safety Culture and support the delivery of Target Zero Action Plans.
  • Ensure compliance with Amey's systems, processes, and procedures for managing contracts between £5m and £25m annually.
  • Exercise full cost control of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, CVR reporting, and WIP management.
  • Manage subcontract procurement and payments, ensuring timely, justified payments and final accounting
