The Opportunity
The Advisory part of the Consulting business is leading innovation through data and technology, enhancing our clients' business operations and processes. We provide solutions that derive insights, improve decision-making, and define a digital strategy that supports their vision, transforming and enabling them to become leaders in a rapidly changing technology and data landscape.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance & Support Manager to support the work we do on the Thames Tideway Tunnell, a project the Amey have been involved with since 2015.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of Risk Assessment and Method Statements, maintenance schedules, maintenance tasks lists.
- Recording of and planning for maintenance tasks.
- Arranging building access in line with the agreed notification process within Thames Water
- Identifying areas of improvement within processes and driving change.
- Ensuring accurate and sufficiently detailed logs are held to identify trends in faults and tackle underlying performance issues.
- Monitor equipment and software obsolescence issues and work with the engineers to identify appropriate solutions.
- Ensure SLAs are met and robust calculations are in place to evidence achievement.
- Maintaining spares quantities and identify parts requiring replenishment.
- Ensure system remains compliant from a licensing and cyber security perspective.
- Work with specialist engineers to meet contract needs.
What you will bring to us:
- Experienced support or maintenance manager having run an existing Application support team ideally for SCADA or Process Controls systems
- Articulate with strong written and verbal skills
- Excellent Stakeholder management skills
- Able to manage a maintenance organisation with associated supply chain, processes and procedures including arranging 1st line (hands-on) equipment support; planning preventative maintenance and ensuring SLAs for reactive maintenance can be met
- Experience of digital Maintenance Management Systems for planned maintenance tasks, and fault management systems for reactive maintenance tasks driving SLA calculations
- Water industry experience preferred
- Location flexible but able to travel to London as required, up to twice a month
