We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Grounds Maintenance Operative/ Playground Inspector to join our dynamic Trafford Account in Manchester. This role will be based on site at Tatton House, 11 Caldey Road, Roundthorn Industrial Estate, Wythenshawe, Manchester, M23 9LF and around Trafford.
This position offers a competitive salary and overtime.
The standard working hours for this role are 37.5 hours a week.
As a Playground Inspector, you'll ensure safe, clean play areas for children, promoting community well-being and social interaction. By maintaining equipment and green spaces, you contribute to environmental sustainability and make parks inviting for everyone.
Your role is vital to the success of the Trafford Account, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, enhancing reputation, and reducing costs through proactive maintenance. Join us and make a lasting impact on the community and environment.
What You’ll Do:
- You will be involved in play area maintenance within the borough of Trafford working in play areas and parks and a good knowledge of the area is an advantage.
- General maintenance, such as renovating benches, repairing or removed damaged play equipment, prepping and painting play equipment, tool maintenance, workshop maintenance and cleaning.
- Carrying out play area inspections. (Training provided)
- Varying repairs around the borough.

What You’ll Bring:
- Full driving licence
- Basic knowledge of operations
- General experience of grounds maintenance type duties
- Good general knowledge of construction of equipment
- Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation COSHH and RoSPA (play area inspections)
