Job Title: Project Management Graduate
Duration: 2 years
Starting Salary: £28,500
Working Hours: Mon -Fri, 08:00am – 16:00pm
Location: Amey Rail -TRU West, Gorton Road Depot, Manchester, M11 2DZ
What You’ll Do:
To assist the team in all relevant projects and activities to meet Amey and client objectives and needs. Working as part of a team, you will acquire a portfolio of technical knowledge and transferrable skills that will give you a wide choice of careers options. Will undertake work of a technical nature that falls within the ability and competence of a graduate and work within a team to manage existing projects and help deliver new schemes which meet the business objectives.
- Assist in the delivery of the requirements of allocated projects
- Assist in the investigation, detailed design and implementation of improvement, replacement, maintenance and other related projectsAssist in the management and monitoring of the budget for projects.
- Help maintain good working relationships with the Client and other interested parties
- Assist with project planning, programming, cost control and administration
- Respond to queries and liaise with Clients, Councillors, Amey staff, Third Parties and other stakeholder groups
- Attend meetings with the Client and other organisations
- Maintain high technical standards, consistent with the project brief
- Ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System and assist in its continued development
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation through the design and work stages
- Support the preparation of bids and delivery of services on other contracts, when required
- Assist in the implementation of effective, value for money and innovative design solutions
- Report on programme delivery, resources and budgets

What You’ll Bring:
Qualifications
- Minimum 2:2 degree in Project management or relevant subject
- Membership of relevant professional qualification is desirable
Experience
- Full Driving licence would be preferred
- Any relevant placement experience would be advantageous
Behavioural competencies
- Keen and enthusiastic individual with the ability to work either individually or as part of a team
- Interested in continuing to develop professional career
- Although primarily based in one location, a willingness to travel to sites in the UK and spend periods of time working at other locations if necessary, would be advantageous
