Your New Role

We have a fantastic opportunity as a permanent Electrical Team Leader to join our Trafford account in Manchester. This role will be based on site at Tatton House, 11 Caldey Road, Roundthorn Industrial Estate, Wythenshawe, Manchester, M23 9LF.

 

Amey and Trafford Council are working together to deliver commercial and domestic waste collections, street cleaning, grounds maintenance, highways services, bridges, road safety, street lighting and furniture, drainage, and property services. Working through locally based teams, we support communities by helping to create better, safer, and more pleasant places. 

 

The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm)

 

An Electrical Team Leader plays an important part in carrying out all aspects of electrical installation and maintenance works on street lighting assets/highway furniture.

 

 You will be responsible for:

  • Lead a team to Carry out all aspects of routine maintenance/Fault repair including bulk change/clean of lanterns and sign poles
  • Completion of daily work records and risk assessments
  • Clean signs and bollards, Excavate for column, bollard and sign foundations
  • Working outdoors in an environment of varying temperatures and weather
  • Working at heights up to 12m and high demand for physical tasks
  • There will be a requirement to work some unsociable hours and overtime and to undertake emergency call out on a rota system
