We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Assistant QS/Commercial Manager to join our dynamic TRU team at Manchester or Hufddersfield  – Hybrid working role.

 

In this role, you will Support the Senior Commercial Manager (Rail) by Manging the supply of contingent and white collar labour. You will work closely with one other assistant commercial manager, resourcing teams and suppliers to deliver a timely and efficient service.

 

This role offers you the unique opportunity to work on one of the biggest contracts awarded by Network Rail, within the UK Rail industry.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Issue weekly call off orders to contingent labour suppliers based on agreed rosters
  • Action any updates / amendments required to previous orders weekly
  • Update subcontract management tracker sheets as a live document with orders sent out, applications received, and payments made
  • Review applications for payment from suppliers on a 4 weekly basis including timesheet and rate checks
  • Manage purchase order values in line with expected spends
  • Ensure Alliance procurement authority notices are submitted and up to date for each supplier
  • Assist in improving processes
