Title: Senior Recruiter
Senior Recruiter – 6 months Fixed Term (potential for permanent role at end of contract)
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday
Location: Hybrid, working from Liverpool office 1 day a week and occasional travel to client sites across UK
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a 6‑month Fixed term Senior Recruiter to join our Complex Facilities recruitment team. You will be working closely with our internal customers in the Justice and Defence sector. This role plays a critical part in supporting live and upcoming recruitment demand across our portfolio, working alongside a small successful team of recruiters delivering over 100 placements a month to the business.
You will be responsible for recruiting a mix of high volume and technical talent across the UK from frontline operatives, electricians, plumbers, facilities management professionals. project managers and office-based staff.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment across a wide range of roles, from vacancy briefing through to offer management.
- Deliver high‑volume recruitment for frontline and operational roles while also supporting technical and specialist hiring.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard‑to‑fill roles, ensuring we are proactive rather than reactive in our approach.
- Plan and run recruitment campaigns, including attraction activity, job advertising, sourcing, and attendance at recruitment fairs and events.
- Work closely with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to understand their workforce needs, challenge where appropriate, and agree realistic hiring plans.
- Use recruitment data (time‑to‑hire, vacancy volumes, pipeline health, diversity insights) to prioritise activity and improve recruitment outcomes.
- Reduce reliance on agencies by strengthening direct sourcing, referrals and pipeline activity where possible.
- Keep up to date with labour market trends across highways, rail and infrastructure to inform recruitment planning.
What you will bring
- Experience in hiring facilities management talent into the Justice or Defence sector?
- Proven success in proactive sourcing and headhunting methods
- A strategic thinker with an ability to create innovative attraction methods for ‘hard to fill’ roles
- Confident working in a fast-paced, blue‑collar, operational environments (e.g., FM, logistics, manufacturing, defence).
- A target achiever, proven achievement of KPI’s such as Time to Hire, Cost per hire
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Excellent time management skills
- A strong collaborator who enjoys problem-solving and building relationships across multiple operations
Nice-to-Haves
- CIPD Level 5 or above.
- Familiarity with secure, government-related environmentr and or nuclear sector
