We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Customer Service Operator in Speke, Liverpool.

The salary is £25,100.00

HOURS OF WORK 37.5 - Monday to Friday

Join our vibrant, inclusive community in Fleet & Plant providing efficient and effective administration relating to the provision of vehicles and services provided by the Fleet & Plant business through the short-term hire desk. Delivering solutions through providing a professional service.

 

What you will do:

  • Working in a fast-paced vehicle rental environment, dealing with customers that work across multiple industries.
  • Liaise with stakeholders from across the Amey business to provide advice and information on different vehicle types (from cars to highly specialist assets), to correctly determine the vehicles that are needed to meet the end-user’s operational requirements.
  • Accurately, and clearly, relay the end-user requirements (vehicle specification, dates of requirements, locations, etc) to supply chain partners, and identify the most appropriate provider.
  • Confirm bookings for short term hire services with the end-user, and the supply chain, using supplier portals when required.
  • Understand, and clearly articulate, the requirements of key Amey Policies, including the Safety Critical Plant Policy, and the Service, Maintenance & Repair Policy.
  • Review vehicle compliance paperwork, as and when required, ensuring that all legislative requirements / Amey Policies, are adhered to by the vehicle suppliers. Identify potential areas of legal non-compliance, and challenge / escalate as required.
  • Ensure paperwork for Safety Critical Plant is submitted to Amey’s Fleet Management Partner to enable the compliance of the vehicles to be managed correctly.
  • Take the lead, when required, on contract mobilisations / demobilisations. Working under own initiative to liaise with end-users to identify and source all necessary vehicles to meet complex operational requirements, developing a mobilisation plan and ensuring delivery against the plan – usually working under pressure, against strict deadlines for service delivery.
  • Generate and analyse reports for data accuracy making sure payments to suppliers are correct and vehicles are correctly on the Motor Insurance Database.

 

What you will bring:

  • Communication style needs to be clear, particularly when discussing vehicle requirements, and should reflect the Amey values.
  • Demonstrate outstanding time management skills for completion of tasks.
  • Prioritise and allocate work in the best interests of the department.
  • Ability to produce reports and analyse where applicable.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
