Salary: £28,500 per annum
Location: Swales Pavilion, RAF Wyton, Cambridgeshire PE28 2EA
Working Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday within flexibility during peak reporting periods

Our Defence team at Amey consists of finance and operational professionals who work together to ensure optimal financial performance and accountability within the complex facilities management sector. As a team, we combine a strong understanding of financial principles with operational expertise, delivering both day-to-day financial oversight and strategic project management. By fostering collaboration, we drive efficiencies and ensure that our clients receive exceptional service, with an emphasis on transparency and value creation in every project we undertake.
You will Support the finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis, and strategic insights that inform business decisions across the organisation.
What you will do:
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial forecasts.
- Support budgeting and planning cycles, including data consolidation and stakeholder coordination.
- Conduct financial modelling to evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and business performance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure financial compliance and accurate reporting.
- Maintain and improve financial systems and processes, including automation and data integrity.
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
What you will bring:
- You’ve completed a degree in any discipline; we’re more interested in your mindset than your subject. If you’re curious about finance or the corporate business world, and excited to grow in a structured, supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.
- You’re analytical by nature, with a problem-solving approach and a willingness to learn. You don’t need to know everything we’ll help you build the skills.
- You’re confident using Excel and ideally have some familiarity with financial modelling or data analysis. Experience with financial software (like SAP or Oracle) is a bonus, but not essential.
- You’re organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple deadlines and keep things moving.
- You communicate clearly, both in writing and in conversation, and can explain financial ideas in a way that makes sense to others.
