We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Civil Engineering Graduate based in Glasgow.
Starting Salary: £28,500.00
Location: 150 Polmadie Rd, Glasgow, G5 0HD
Working hours per week: Monday - Friday 09:00 -17:00 occasional out of hours work. 40hrs/week
Start date: September 2026

Amey has been working in partnership with Transport Scotland Southwest since August 2020, we are responsible for inspections, cyclical maintenance, asset management, scheme delivery as well as winter maintenance and incident response.
The team are first on the scene to assist road users on the road network, deliver engineering design and operational delivery services for more than 600 kilometres of road and 1,650 structures enabling reliable journey times and a high level of customer care for the people and businesses that use these roads every day.
By ensuring our roads and highways are well-maintained through all-weather seasons and traffic incidents, we aim to create well-functioning, safe spaces which minimise disruption, keep people moving and support thriving communities.
What you will do:

Plan and undertake specialist investigations (Night shift work involved).

Assist with preparing technical documents and reports.

Maintain high technical standards consistent with the project scope/brief.

Provide design and specialist advice in relevant specialisms, e.g. pavements.

Use of Transport Scotland’s Asset Management Performance System (AMPS) for scheme identification, development and recording of maintenance intervention.

Assist the project manager with project related correspondence from internal and external stakeholders.

Assist the project manager with Technical Workshops to discuss complex schemes and treatment proposals.

Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety Legislation (CDM2015).

Always ensure compliance with the operating company's management system.
What you will bring:

Civil Engineering Degree - Minimum Grade 2.2

Full UK driving license

Have good communication skills
-
Basic Knowledge of health and safety

Passion for developing your skills both professional and personally.
