Your new role
We are currently looking for a Permanent Area cleaning manager to join our Edinburgh schools account.
To carry out a range of daily facilities duties which facilitate the smooth running of the premises, providing support for a safe and efficient operation whilst ensuring all customer requirements are met.
Location: Braidburn Special School (office), however location will be all Edinburgh sites, 17 sites in total

Contract: Full time permanent, non-term time
Hours per week: 37.5
Shift Pattern: Mon-Friday (Flexible Hours to cover cleaning times, which can be early morning or late afternoon)
What will this role involve?
- Ensure smooth running of the cleaning in all premises
- Carrying out cleaning induction programme in line with compliance
- To ensure cleaning audits are adhere to
- Daily responsible to check staffing levels and cover is arranged in line with company procedure
- Developing all cleaning supervisors
- Ensure all staff training has been delivered and records in place.
- Ensure company absence management policy is implemented & managed
- Implement cleaning standard operating procedure across all sites
What are we looking for?
- Knowledge and previous experience in practical DIY skills for minor repair
- Good Team Player
- Flexible with shift work
- Good at developing strong working relationships with on-site client and employees
- This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
- Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract
- Driving licence required
