We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Graduate to join our Amey Defence account. This exciting rotational programme will take you across 3 key areas of our business, RAMS Projects, RAMS Core, and Whitehall, offering invaluable hands-on experience in operations, compliance, and project management within the Defence sector.
Starting Salary: £28,500 per annum
Location: 8 months remote with occasional national travel and overnight stays across Central and North areas (including Scotland and Wales.
8 months Main Building Horse Guards Avenue, Whitehall, London SW1A 2HB
8 months Building 18, Piave Lines, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3LL with occasional travel to Chester, Belfast, Edinburgh and other required locations.

The Amey team deliver and maintain critical defence infrastructure across the UK. We maintain 19,000 military homes across the north and central regions, and ensure our military have the plant and equipment, they need to carry out their vital roles. We also provide essential soft services within MOD Whitehall - Main Building, including the provision of helpdesk and IT services.
Join our dynamic team and embark on a rotating graduate programme across three core areas of the business: Operations, Compliance, and Project Management. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in the Facilities Management Industry, focusing on delivering first-class services across housing maintenance, construction, and estate improvement projects.
About the Role
You will gain hands-on experience in:
Operations & Compliance:

- Collaborate with Operations Managers to deliver timely and compliant planned and responsive maintenance.
- Ensure high standards in Health & Safety, quality, and customer service.
- Support regional teams to meet 100% compliance in maintenance tasks and resolve customer complaints.
- Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships to ensure excellence in service delivery.
Soft Services & Security:

- Oversee the delivery of soft services in high-security environments.
- Plan and execute improvement works in collaboration with the PFI Handback Team.
- Contribute to benchmarking, market testing, and ensuring adherence to security and Health & Safety procedures.
Pre-Construction & Project Management:

- Assist in planning and managing estate improvement projects for MOD Service Family Accommodation.
- Prepare technical specifications, attend client meetings, and deliver progress reports.
- Conduct site inspections focusing on environmental, Health & Safety, and quality compliance.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Candidates with a minimum 2:2 degree in construction, business, or other related disciplines are welcome to apply, provided they can demonstrate transferable skills that are directly relevant to the built environment sectors
- A driving licence is essential.

- High level of motivation and initiative; self-starter
