Title: Assistant P6 Planner
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Assistant P6 Planner to join our dynamic Eastern and Southern Rail team at Derby. 37.5 hrs per week, on-site.
In this role, you will support the Project Commercial management team in preparing and submitting period, quarterly and yearly deliverables for both internal and external review.
This role offers you the unique opportunity to work with one of Network Rail’s main contractors on Signalling and OLE frameworks across the Eastern region.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with the preparation of a project work breakdown structure and schedule which can deliver the project objectives and providing effective project performance measurement and reporting.
- Assist with monitoring and progressing the schedule and making changes as and when required.
- Monitoring GIVE:GET milestones and their impact.
- Assisting with the production of QSRA/Hour by Hour programmes for works being undertaken in disruptive possessions in line with DWWP guidance.
- Assist with production of actual performance and variance against plan and forecast outcomes.
- Assist with communicating Programme Criticality and Interfaces with the Project Team.
- Assist with the production of reporting requirements, including use of Microsoft Power Bi.
- Undertake ad hoc duties as directed by the Planner and Project Teams.

What You’ll Bring:
- Previous experience in a construction/engineering environment
- Proficient IT user – MS, EXCEL
- Previous experience using planning tools such P6 or MS Projects
