We have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join Amey’s TSIC Team.

 

Starting Salary: £28,500 (Subject to 2025 review)

Location: Cumbernauld

Working hours per week:  40  Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.15pm

Start date: September 2025

With over 12,000 intelligent transport system (ITS) assets across Scotland our teams operate and maintain variable messaging signs, CCTV, emergency roadside telephones (ERTs) and various power and communication cabinets. In addition to this, we manage and maintain hundreds of miles of the motorway and trunk road network across Scotland, as well as providing key consultancy services such as asset management, design services and environmental management. Our focus is on delivering reliable journey times and a high level of customer care for the people and businesses that use these roads every day.

 

As a Quantity Surveyor Graduate, your overall objective of this role is to ensure the effective delivery and maintenance of infrastructure services within TSIC.

 

You will work alongside the team to:

 

  • Measure and value progress of works.
  • Administration of different types of contracts in the collection, collation, and storage of relevant data.
  • Ensuring that all documentation, work orders, and service sheets are completed and returned to the office for approvals.
  • Estimating quantities, cost, and time scales for material & labour.
  • Documenting any changes in designs and updating budgets.

As a Graduate, other than your relevant degree, we don’t expect you to bring prior experience with you when you join us; we will give you all the skills and opportunities. We therefore keep our list of essential requirements to a minimum, but there are a few things needed to qualify for our programme:

 

  • Minimum 2:2 Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering-related discipline
  • A Full UK driving License
