Title: Graphic Designer (Work Winning)
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a creative, talented and dynamic Graphic Designer to join our Work Winning team in Transport Infrastructure.
As Graphic Designer, you will play a key role in Amey’s growth and long-term success. You will be responsible for developing engaging visual brands and concepts, and communicating complex information in bids and proposals with purpose and clarity. By creating compelling and visually impactful documents which differentiate Amey, you will help us to secure new business opportunities. In joining our team, you will be part of a collaborative, progressive and inclusive environment that values authenticity, creativity and innovation.
The standard working hours are 37.5 per week, with travel to Amey offices (eg Birmingham, Oxford, Manchester, London) for bids and team meetings as needed.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop bespoke, client-focused bid branding and design concepts that meet client requirements, maximise visual impact and align with our win strategy
- Collaborate with other disciplines (eg proposal coordinators and writers) as an integral part of the bid team to integrate graphics, artwork and imagery into bid documents
- Promote APMP-aligned best practice by considering visual elements during early planning and storyboarding to ensure all bids meet internal design quality standards
- Produce bid-specific graphics and artwork in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, and provide design support for external client presentations and internal creative projects
- Translate complex design briefs from bid writers, subject matter experts and wider bid team members into clear, impactful visual concepts
- Ensure design consistency and quality control throughout, maintaining alignment with the bid brand, client colour palettes and Amey’s corporate brand guidelines
- Support and improve internal design processes, including maintaining the graphics library to share examples of best practice across bid teams
- Participate in lessons learnt workshops to identify and share best practice, implement feedback on bid design and branding, and drive continuous improvement.
