We have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Bid Writer to join Amey’s Work Winning Team.

 

Starting Salary: £28,500 (Subject to 2025 review)

Location: Birmingham, B4 6AT

Working hours per week:  37.5  Monday till Friday

Start date: September 2025

The Team and Role

 

The Transport Infrastructure Work Winning Team was set up to drive bidding best practice and professionalism across the business, we interface across to complete lifecycle of a project, from business development and bidding through to mobilisation and delivery. The purpose of this is to develop and understanding of the business and the bidding profession, which would then lead on to the identification of a chosen career path within the Work Winning Job Family.

 

As a Bid Writer Graduate, your overall objective of this role is to ensure the effective delivery and maintenance of infrastructure services within Work Winning.

 

You will work alongside the team through:

 

  • Bid Programme, Data and Reporting and Bidding Improvement
  • Bid Coordination and Project Management across both Highways and Rail Sectors
  • Quality and Content – Bid Writing, Proposals and Graphics.

What we need from you?

 

As a Graduate, other than your relevant degree, we don’t expect you to bring prior experience with you when you join us; we will give you all the skills and opportunities. We therefore keep our list of essential requirements to a minimum, but there are a few things needed to qualify for our programme:

 

  • Minimum 2:2 Degree in English / Writing/ Journalism
  • A Full UK driving License
