We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Signalling Installations Team Leader to join our dynamic Eastern and Southern Rail team at Bedford. 37.5 hrs per week – on-site working role.

 

In this role, you will lead and deliver assigned S&T contract works safely and effectively, ensuring full compliance with contract specifications and achieving delivery in line with the approved programme and target costs. Additionally, support is provided to the Construction Manager and Supervisor to deliver S&T to correct standards and agreed timescales.

This role offers you the unique opportunity to work with one of NR main contractors on Signalling and OLE frameworks across the Eastern region.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and direct a team/teams with signal installation activities.
  • Test work to SMTH and assist with SWTH where required.
  • Participate in risk assessments and put in place adequate control measures when required.
  • Provide information to planning team to ensure accurate site paperwork can be produced.
  • Participate in reviewing/preparation of resource schedules, methodology, WPP  and Task Briefings.
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed/briefed to the site teams and brought back at the depot in a timely manner.
  • Keeping the Supervisor/Construction Manager constantly updated on site progress.
  • Ensure effective leadership & supervision of core workforce to achieve high levels of safety, performance, attendance and behavioural standards.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure the compliance of the approved method of work & Task brief
  • Ensure that standards of tidiness are maintained at lineside, in offices and cabins in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and instructions during work and on completion of work.
  • Attendance at planning / progress meetings as required.

What You’ll Bring:

 

  • Signalling Team Leader 1.8.100 licence category or working towards.
  • Previous experience Leading teams on Rail Signalling Installations.
  • Full UK driving license
