Title: Project Manager - Rail signalling & Telecoms
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Project Manager – Rail Signalling & Telecoms to join our dynamic Eastern & Southern team at Bedford. 37.5 hrs per week, onsite.
In this role, you will manage and deliver medium to large sized Rail signalling, telecom and OLE contracts safely in accordance with legislation and Amey procedures to contract specification and programme, while building and sustaining long term customer relationships in accordance with project relationship matrix.
This role offers you the unique opportunity to work with one of Network Rail’s main contractors on Signalling, telecoms and OLE frameworks across the Eastern region.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver projects in accordance with the contract, adhering to Amey procedures and group standards.
- Oversee the Creation of Project/Programme Brief, Project Initiation Document (PID), Communication Plan and Project Quality Plan.
- Overseeing quality control throughout the project cycle .
- Defining products / specific deliverables to be delivered by the project.
- Ensuring that the engagement of any third-party project resources is managed in accordance with Amey procedures and policies.
- Planning, executing and finalising projects according to agreed deadlines and within budget.
- Ensuring project compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental and other appropriate regulations.
- Monitoring the financial performance of the project, giving regular (minimum monthly) reports, comparing actual and forecast performance to plan and explaining variations.
- Maintaining regular liaison with all stakeholders and employees on the progress of projects
- Coordinating post-project reviews
- Oversee the creation of a formal Handover Plan / Control Plan to transition the ongoing ownership of project-related activities to appropriate business owners
- Documenting any relevant case studies that can be used to support future bids
- Obtaining sign off from relevant stakeholders that the project deliverables meet the stated requirements

What You’ll Bring:
- Previous experience managing Rail signalling and telecoms projects.
- Proficient user with MS OFFICE – PROJECTS ETC
- Familiarity with NR rail/ group standards
- IOSH/NEBOSH – Preferred
- CDM 2015 knowledge
- NEC contract knowledge
- Full UK driving license
